| The west side of the display room contains a suburban scene which we call Westport and Kelso. Westport, to the front, is a CPR town, which trains enter across a three-track lift bridge, built by one of our members. It really works, too. If you look closely along Main Street, you will notice that some of the businesses have truly interesting names. There are a number of activities, typical of the 1950's, going on as well. |
Trains pull up to a model of CP's West Toronto station. The real one was dismantled in 1982. Engines can be serviced at the roundhouse, or changed out. In the background is CN's terminal yard called Kelso, It too, has a turntable and roundhouse for engine work, but in addition, all trains end their runs here, so you can see cars being sorted, trains being made up, and passenger trains getting ready to depart on their next run. |
