| Across the south end of the display is our fictional city of Wellington. In the center is a large Union Station, of the type often built during the first two decades of the 1900's. The station area is flanked by many tall buildings suggesting the downtown core, and smaller buildings spread to both sides. |
A new suburb is developing near the west wall. The freight yard in town is owned by CN, but the station hosts both CN and CP passenger trains. In the foreground is an industrial area along the waterfront. There is also a CPR freight house there, as ship to rail transfers were common into the late 'fifties'. |
